Although the album version is heavily produced by Nigel Godrich and Radiohead, with a more electronic texture, I Might Be Wrong is one of the more guitar-oriented songs on Amnesiac. Blondshell will play an all-ages show at Madame Lou's on Saturday, July 8! She will be LIVE on KEXP at 1pm that day as well. On the release of her debut, Sabrina Teitelbaum said: “It’s hard to summarize what this album means to me. I was able to work through so much by writing and singing these songs... I wasn’t intending to write an album as much as I was just trying to get relief from an intense and difficult time in my life. My biggest hope is that people can see the album for what it is: there’s no happy ending or ‘message,’ it’s just a window into what it’s like when you’re trying to figure out who you are and what you want.” www.blondshellmusic.com

Durand Jones will be at Bumbershoot on Saturday, September 2nd, 2023. On his deeply personal debut solo album, 'Wait Til I Get Over', Durand Jones reflects on his relationship to his hometown of Hillaryville, LA, a town first established as a form of reparations to previously enslaved Black Americans. bit.ly “The interlude ends with my grandmother telling us how she felt about Hillaryville back in the day. Hillaryville is no longer a sanctuary town or ‘place you’d most want to live’. Most people in my generation and younger dream of escaping a place like Hillaryville. And for many, the dream never becomes something more. Life can find a way to keep you there if you will let it. I wanted to express this thought through sound in a raw, wild and raucous way. A build of a groove that feels like it is driving through a muddy swamp. Trapped.” Official Video: youtu.be durandjones.bandcamp.com

'Freetown Sound' is the third album from Devonté Hynes aka Blood Orange. Written and produced by Hynes, 'Freetown Sound' is a tour de force, a pastiche of Hynes’ past, present, and future that melds his influences with his own established musical voice. Drawing from a deep well of techniques and references, the album unspools like a piece of theater, evoking unexpected communions of moods, voices, and eras. 'Freetown Sound' derives its name from the birthplace of Hynes’ father, the capital of Sierra Leone. Thematically, it is profoundly personal and unapologetically political, touching on issues of race, religion, sex, and sexism over 17 shimmering songs. bloodorangenyc.bandcamp.com

Killer Mike and The Midnight Revival will play The Showbox on Thursday, July 27th. -- This single is from Killer Mike's first solo album in more than a decade, "Michael." He said, “It was the last song made for the album because I hadn’t uttered these words out loud since her transitioning. When I tell the story of my mother the tales told include one when I walked in on her attempting to take her own life- it gets to the heart of how deeply sensitive an artist and human she was. She survived, was diagnosed bi-polar and depressed; she fought that until the day she died. Hey Troy and Owen - Throw some Duran Duran and The Cure on this morning? It's a heckuva run at CPA this week. They closed with a rousing Rio last night. Psyched to see what The Cure have in store tonight Peter in Seattle ===== “‘Anniversary’ is a special song for us,” John Taylor said in a statement. “Obviously we were conscious of our own impending 40th anniversary of making music together, but we wanted the song’s meaning to be inclusive in the broadest possible way. After playing and working together for so long, we very much appreciate what ‘being together’ and ’staying together’ can really mean, it’s not something we would have thought song-worthy 40 years ago but we do today! It was also fun to build a track with hints of previous Duran hits, they’re like Easter eggs, for the fans to find.”
