'The Other Side of Make-Believe' started out with the band writing and recording remotely due to COVID during 2020 – before meeting up to flesh out the new songs at a rented home in the Catskills, then completing the songs in North London with co-producers Flood and Alan Moulder "Working alone was raw at first, but has opened up a vivid new chapter for us," revealed guitarist Daniel Kessler, with Bank recalling how he took to writing while the global pandemic saw him living in Edinburgh for nearly nine months. "We usually write live, but for the first time I’m not shouting over a drumkit," said Banks. "Daniel and I have a strong enough chemistry that I could picture how my voice would complement the scratch demos he emailed over. Then I could turn the guys down on my laptop, locate these colourful melodies and generally get the message across in an understated fashion." bit.ly

"To Be Yours was a track that we had originally started back at the end of 2018. We loved the idea but struggled to find the right fit for the song until Claud sent us back their incredible vocal top line,” said ODESZA (Harrison Mills and Clayton Knight). “As soon as we heard what Claud put together we knew we had something special. The vocal melodies and delivery compliment the track in such a perfect way. We couldn’t be happier with how this one came together and are really excited for people to hear it.” odesza.bandcamp.com odesza.com

"A Real Hero" is a song by French electronica artist College in collaboration with Electric Youth, released in 2010, and featured in the movie Drive. Electric Youth frontman Austin Garrick, along with David Grellier, who performs as College, have cited separate inspirations for producing the song. Garrick was inspired to write the song by a quote from his grandfather, who spoke of airline captain Chesley Sullenberger after the US Airways Flight 1549 water landing incident. Grellier, on the other hand, took inspiration from cinema, in particular the character Max Rockatansky of the Mad Max franchise. www.instagram.com
