"Lotus Flower" was nominated for Best Rock Performance, Best Rock Song and Best Music Video at the 54th Annual Grammy Awards. It lost out on Best Rock Song to Foo Fighters’ “Walk“.
Norwegian duo Röyksopp is back with this track featuring Astrid S. They said in a statement: “We wanted to create a warm and sensual space in which the simple message of the song felt native. And to us, Astrid S had to be a part of that mise-en-scène.”
The duo writes, "Boy Harsher began through an urgent need to produce and consume. In the winter of 2014, Jae Matthews and Augustus Muller started to experiment with sound, video and text; the advent of Boy Harsher."

The song was released in May 1983 as the band's debut single from their debut studio album Heartland. The song peaked in the US at No. 29 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. In 1989 they released a new version - "Send Me an Angel '89" It surpassed the original version from 1983. "Send Me An Angel '89" reached # 26 on the US charts.
This song, like many on the album, is a diatribe against the system. Guitarist and songwriter Kyp Malone explained to MTV News that it is about "dismantling civilization, about taking responsibility for the world that we live in and figuring out a way to tear it down."

Hot Chip's eighth album "Freakout/Release", is their first album in three years, and features contributions from Cadence Weapon, Soulwax, and Lou Hayter. "We were living through a period where it was very easy to feel like people were losing control of their lives in different ways," Joe Goddard said. "There's a darkness that runs through a lot of those tracks."

According to Albarn, he and Jones had met several times before recording "Charger" together: "I'd met her once in her nightclub, where I made the mistake of saying she looked like Little Red Riding Hood because she was wearing a red cape. She turned around and said 'Little Black Riding Hood,' and turned back. I didn't speak to her again."

"Dirty Boots" is a song from Sonic Youth's sixth studio album Goo (1990).
The music video for "Dirty Boots" was directed by Tamra Davis. The video features a boy and girl who meet and fall in love at a Sonic Youth concert. After displaying their affection on stage, both are then escorted by bouncers into the audience via stage dive.

Bass guitarist Bootsy Collins recalled: "One night in D.C. some guys start shouting, 'One nation! One nation! One Nation Under a Groove!' When you've got fresh musicians around you, you can take that hook line and really make something. George's thing was, 'It don't matter how many hooks you put in. Don't matter! Put them all in there.' So, on that song, you've got 'One Nation Under a Groove... Feet don't fail me now,' all that."

The Gap Band were originally known as the Greenwood, Archer and Pine Street Band in 1967, in their hometown of Tulsa, Oklahoma. They eventually settled on the shorter name, and as a band comprised of three brothers, were marketed as an R&B version of the Bee Gees.
This song features a string sample from Moroccan pop singer Najat Aatabou's song "Just Tell Me The Truth" and vocals by former A Tribe Called Quest member, Q-Tip.
Tom Rowlands of The Chemical Brothers recalled: "Q-tip would only sing into a golden microphone. Not silver, not bronze. It practically came with its own security guard. But I'm sure it gave his Galvanize vocal that extra bit of punch."
