German producer Marius Lauber performs as Roosevelt. He just announced the upcoming album 'Polydans,' due out in February 2021. He's calling it a "love letter to dance music", and from the sound of this track, that feeling is spot on.
In a press release, Roosevelt says “Feels Right” is about the “feeling of stoic empowerment. When I wrote the song, it began with an ESG-influenced funk loop, which even in its rawest form had something very euphoric and playful. "It was inspired by Carl Sagan’s Cosmos as well as “If I Needed You” by Townes Van Zandt, this song is named for a grim retirement home in Florida. It’s about somebody who was born sheltered realizing how large the world is and how unimportant they are. Julia Steiner’s vocal contributions brought the song to fruition, and it was a lot of fun to make. We spent a lot of time focusing on the drums and percussion, using a phone recording of some cicadas in a quieter part towards the end of the song, and I really like all the stuff Dan came up with like the Agogo bells and Rototoms."

In the first thirty seconds of William Onyeabor’s "Atomic Bomb," you hear a tambourine, a Moog synthesizer, an electric guitar, a bass, and a keyboard. A one-man operation, Onyeabor recorded the song in his own studio in Enugu, Nigeria, and self-released Atomic Bomb in 1978.
Probably, Onyeabor was the first West African musician to record songs with synthesizers; certainly, he was the first to record them in a West African studio (his own) and then release them on a West African label (also his own).
