We're celebrating the life of the one and only director, writer and musician David Lynch. Lynch is known for his surrealist and dark artistic vision with the show ‘Twin Peaks,’ as well as the films ‘Mulholland Drive,’ ‘Blue Velvet,’ ‘Eraserhead,’ and so many others. Lynch revealed in 2024 that he had been diagnosed with emphysema after smoking his whole life. His family announced his death in a Facebook post on Jan. 16. They wrote: They wrote: "It is with deep regret that we, his family, announce the passing of the man and the artist, David Lynch. We would appreciate some privacy at this time. There’s a big hole in the world now that he’s no longer with us. But, as he would say, “Keep your eye on the donut and not on the hole. It’s a beautiful day with golden sunshine and blue skies all the way." variety.com

The filmmaker and artist David Lynch passed away on Jan. 15 2025 at the age of 78 of an emphysema from smoking. This prompted a series of worldwide and, notably, Pacific Northwest tributes honoring him and his work. His family said: “There’s a big hole in the world now that he’s no longer with us. But, as he would say, ‘Keep your eye on the donut and not on the hole.'” David Lynch was famous for his incredible artistic vision with the show ‘Twin Peaks,’ as well as movies like ‘Blue Velvet,’ ‘Mulholland Drive,’ and so many others.

On this day 25-years ago in 1990, David Lynch’s surreal television drama Twin Peaks premiered on ABC. Moby created a remix of "Go" that samples the show's opening theme. So as you can imagine, that's what's coming next.
